I have been slowly pround with false harmonics recently. Does anyone know any good lessons or basic tunes which can help delevelop them from just plucking out notes to something more musical?

I remember seeing a lesson on here a while about about false harmonics which was a great help.

Any help?

Thanks.

Hi cz...
If you are referring to fretted harmonics (a note is fretted and a harmonic is played by the plucking hand at octaves or 5ths) then Tommy Emmanuel has a great tutorial on mixing fretted harmonics, open harmonics and open & fretted strings all in one process. His tutorial is well laid out...

It might be on Emmanuel Labor - I believe it's on the DVD filmed at a home in Australia. May be able to find it on YouTube as well...

Thank's I will give that look.

I remember when I saw Tommy a few years ago he did a "tricks of the trade" section where he went over his guitar set up, pickups and how he plays didferent sounds. It was impossible to keep up with what he was saying. The video may help.

Will Kirk posted this tutorial a while back. Not sure if it's too advanced for you (?), but worth checking out:
