I live around downtown Houston and would like to occasionally get together with other players to jam, collaborate, etc. Does anyone know of a group like this that meets in the Houston area?

We are having our annual Lake Houston Get Together this Sat.
We have 30 to 50 people attending and will be cooking chicken and boiling crawfish.

Take Hwy 59 north out of Houston and drive to Humble, Texas. Then take the FM 1960 byPass east to Lake Houston. As soon as you cross the bridge be ready to turn, the Marina is on the left side right on the water. It's only 30 to 45 min. from downtown Houston.

SDW, what part of downtown are you? I'm in Midtown at Elgin and La Branch really close to HCC. Maybe we could get something started up. In the meantime I'm gonna be out at Lake Houston Marina this weekend to meet everyone. Hope to see you there.
