Okay folks, its decided! We will have our annual Lake Houston AGF gathering on Saturday, May 9. Details will come later, but Guitarman (and family) will supply the food as usual (that means yummy chicken, spicy potatoes and corn, and crawdads!!!), strumming by the lake under the covered patio. Plus more.
So, bring your appetites, your guitars and your tunes.
So add your name to the list if you can make it.

I am 99% sure I will be in unless something unforeseen comes up since we're living in the Houston area now. Sadly, I haven't played a guitar more than an hour in the past few months but I will get back to playing soon. Can I bring the ukulele too?

Howdy again, Are there any cabins at the lake that can be rented, or any motels close by?
Thanks
Bill

If you have an RV or trailer the Marina has rental spaces with hookups, but no cabins
The only hotel I know of, close to the Lake (5 min.), is a Best Western Inn
I think they are about $100.00 per night.
You might check out www.hotelmapsearch.com
1. There is a Roadway Inn about 15 min. away in Humble $67.00 per Night
2. Econo Lodge about 15 Min. away in Humble $69.00 per Night
IAH / Houston Intercontinintal Airport is about 20 Min from the Lake and has some motels around it also.

I wrote it down on my calendar. I should be there this time, unless a paying gig or family gathering occurs...(which was the MAIN reason I wasn't able to make it last year!)

Is Jeffrey still alive and well? I haven't seen him around here in ages.I've seen him post on occasion. I will have to PM him to make sure he knows about this event. Karin will kill him if she doesn't get her share of crawdads.

Please bring your wife and a friend If you would like. New AGF members and new Guitar players are welcome too.
One year we had a large circle of guitar players (about 2 deep), If I remember correctly one of the wives opened up a bag and started pulling guards and verious other instruments out and passing them out. We had a blast!
I will have a Rack Mounted Amp, mixer, mic's and we even have a rack mounted Pod 6 for anyone who wants to use them. I sometimes even bring a Roland Keyboard. The Equipment is there for you to use, Please do so If you would like to.
If you would like to sing or play some of your songs, we would love to hear you.
The only requirement is, to leave the worldly problems behind you, meet friends and down right Have a good Time .

Mo's Art & I should be able to attend, barring unforeseen problems.

We have kego and lrgo from the first thread and Hopefully stetson
Hondo stated that he would try to make it again this year
Also aggie182 stated that he might be able to make it
Has anyone heard from jeffery?
As of now it looks like we may have around 20 people attending and we still have about 6 weeks before the event. I still know of a few people who might be attending, so it looks like we a good start again this year.

If you ask Guitarman he'll say "nothing". So, just figure out something you want to bring and bring it. Sodas are good, as are desserts.
