Highly unlikely.

I have been told the inlay he sells on eBay is paper thin and to not bother.

Acoustics have to be kept in proper humidity of 40%-50%. did you?

Starving artists will always paint on the cheapest canvas. Bruce Wei is known for his extravagant inlay work ( which falls out quickly, ) and very bad lutherie. There have been some rare exceptions, but for the most part, people who have bought his stuff to use as players have been profoundly disappointed, IMO.

Touché. Although it doesn't help this buyer much. If ALL of these are failing, that is a pretty huge message. Most luthiers stand behind their work as long as YOU (the purchaser) or HE (the builder) live. Other than some shipping charges, a reputable luthier will fix, or re-do his/her mistakes if there were some. Inferior woods, joining, bracing, etc. sadly would require MAJOR surgery, and on multiple instruments at once? Likely, fuggedaboudit. I know Mr. Gallagher (aka Kevin, Omega Guitars) is good to go on my Omega as long as we're both around. He already fixed one minor thing (with a truss rod nut) and did a complete re-set up, fret crown, tune-up tossed in! Shipping was simply something I willingly assumed for his expertise-and this was "his baby."

So, I wish you luck. Sounds like this fella may not be willing to stand with his creations. Hope I'm wrong, but it sounds like "Who shot John" right now, and apparently YOU have the smoking gun.

Welcome to the forum, Davidleigh1.

Sorry to hear about your guitars As has been said, most builders will stand by their work if there are problems, but if the builder is based a long way from where you are, then even if they will do so, the cost of returning the guitar to get work carried out may be more than would be realistic, for the value of the guitars. Have you taken them to a local luthier to get them checked out?

Fliss

There are a couple of these inlay artists on ebay that work out of Vietnam. The other one is "Antoniotsai's Guitar&Mandolin Arts". There may be more. Anyway they ship via Taiwan and it isn't cheap. In order to return the guitars for repair, the original cost of the guitar would most likely be exceeded by the shipping charges. Anyway, thank you.. original poster... for giving us the heads up on these guitars.

Um, maybe you should have purchased ONE and waited to see how it lasted before buying FOUR MORE!
