Just got the notice that Doyle Dykes will be playing at Musician's Warehouse in Bogart, Ga (just west of Athens) on Dec. 1, at 7:30 PM. $10 admission fee, Reservations recommended...706-548-7233.

This will be a return trip for him there. I saw him the last time he was in Bogart. Nice, intimate setting. Nobody's more than about 40 feet away from the action.

I spent the whole time looking for those backup players I kept hearing. Though I could see him clearly, all I could see was his younger daughter who was with him, playing mandolin and singing. I came away thinking that perhaps he just had an extra hand or two, or maybe a few extra fingers...

A most entertaining show! (Don't be surprised if he shares something of his Christian faith. Didn't bother me or the person I was with, but I know it surprised a couple of others who weren't expecting it.)

Doyle was a youth minister in the past and his brother Aubrey is still currently a minister. This is why he continues to share about his faith at his concerts.
