Next Sunday night, Nov 2 at the Mission City Coffee Roasting Co, I'll be featuring Teja Gerken and Teddy Randazzo Jr.
No stranger to most guitarists, Teja is a senior editor at Acoustic Guitar Magazine, and has performed all over the world with guitarists like John Renbourn, Alex de Grassi and Peter Finger. He has two solo CDs that feature his contemporary and dynamic style. It’s great to have Teja joining us again.
Besides being an outstanding guitarist and composer, Teddy has an interesting family history. His father, T.R. Sr, is a well known songwriter who wrote many classic tunes including “Going Out of My Head”, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You”, and “Hurt So Bad.” Teddy Jr’s talents stand on their own, but he does do some very updated arrangements of his father’s tunes, along with other pop tunes and originals, all in a unique, very funky, and sometimes humorous style. Teddy’s fun to listen to, I’m looking forward to hearing him again.
