I like the sound of that Tom. Tad will let me know exactly when, but he's going to be in the Keys and in Homestead with his brother, meeting up with some old band mates. Since he has to drive within 1/2 a mile of my house on his way to the Keys, we've agreed that his life is in mortal danger if he doesn't stop here.

My older brother and I will arrive on Thurs, Jan 22nd and stay until Tues, Jan 27th.

You may have a mass of pickers on your hands when I come around, as the trip is a reunion of some of the good folks who "adopted" me when I was first learning to play. They are coming from California, Arizona, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania to do this. It's really going to be special. That Saturday is the main melee, to be held at a studio there. I am renting a car, and cannot wait to have you'all meet my brother, Tim. As happens with all introductions between people I know and love, they all like each other far more than any of them ever liked me. What can I say, I got taste!

Hope those dates work, my friends. If not, have a blast and sing one o' them sad songs I like so much. I'll be back soon.

Just got back last night from yet another stellar extended weekend of music and picking and friends on the Suwannee River, so I'm just kinda getting my bearings again. I think next weekend (11/1-2) is out for me. Probably good for any others in Nov. though.

We need Sharky to check in, and a few of the other folks nearby that have expressed interest in the past. The more the merrier :)

Sounds like we got a plan going here, and I missed it all. Been gone for about 3 weeks to the "hills". Those dates that you just posted Tad look like they WILL coincide with Todd being down. Gotta go look but I think it is the same week.

Hey Beach Bob- Bob Weir & Ratdog are playing Mizner Park in Boca on the nite of the 22nd. Easy enough to hear them for free on the green outside the venue, if you're game (can you say "Dancing In The Streets"? :D). PM me if so.

I am suggesting the following: Friday after Turkey Day (that's 11/28), or possibly that Saturday (11/29)?? I have Friday off, and none of us needs to be in the shopping malls that day... That Friday or Sat is OUT for me. Got too much going on with kids and grandkids over the Turkey day holidays. And a little party, farewell thing to do sat night.
I may be gone the first weekend in Dec as well. Bike ride and ralley up in Savannah I am thinking about hitting.

Now if can work out something for that week in Jan when both Todd and Tad will be down, I am IN for that. You guys can carry on without me this month.

The idea is definitely to do something before the January thing... You will be missed Rick [assuming we actually pull this one off in the current year ;)]. For being retired you sure keep busy!! I think that's the way it's supposed to be done :up:

Don't count me as anything but a fool, my friends. If there is a day I can make it without forsaking the mortgage, I will come to a pre-January gathering (but you better show up in late January, ya losers!). I am free only a bit in Dec., but the weekends of the 6th and the 20th look okay.

I leave a week from today for Connecticut. We're spending Thanksgiving there with the grandkids and way too many other hangers on. Wish we were still going to North Carolina, but it's only this year if things work out alright.

From our return December 2nd onward, I'm OK most days, but I am trying to set up a quick concert series at the synagogue and if confirmed, those Saturdays will be out because I'll be locked into those Saturday nights and have too much to do to get ready., unless someone wanted to come here.

We HAVE to do something when Tad is here in January though. That's a moral imperative!
