This one just literally fell on to my calendar--an artist on the bill at Uncommon Ground this Sun. night had to bow out, and my singing partner Stephen Lee Rich just happens to be in town for the FARM Gathering (Oct. 10-12, ending at noon), sooooo......
ANDINA & RICH, Sun. Oct. 12, 7 pm
UNCOMMON GROUND
1240 W. Grace (entrance on Clark St.)
Chicago (2 bl. nw of Addison st. CTA Red Line stop)
Reservations STRONGLY advised--the menu is renowned and delicious but very reasonable. $20 food & drink min. sugg. (but VERY much worth it!)
All ages, no smoking.
Full drink menu (alcoholic, nonalcoholic, full espresso service)
Also appearing: Wes Weddell, and a third act TBA.
Pass-the-bucket, but whatever you want to pay is fine. Two things to know--first, the bucket gets passed once per act, and we are one of three acts; second, the sound person gets the first ten bucks off each pass.
It'll be my first time back there since I hosted a JustPlainFolks showcase there in August '05--if we do well enough Sunday it won't be another 3 years before I'm back!
