Since we kinda started talking about it in my classified ad I figured I would go ahead and at least begin a thread so we could talk about having a AGF Gathering (and remove it from the classified ad). If anyone has any ideas, please post, I'm excited to hopefully meet all of you Coloradans!

I'm in as well. Where are you (guys) located? and who has the best hall?
I have a nice summer venue, but a new baby in the house, so no winter jams here this year at least.
We're all up the I-70 corridor (generally) - off Evergreen Pkwy.
JAM SOON ! JAM OFTEN

I might be in depending on the timing. I know I'm new to the forum but I'd still like to join in if possible.

I've been waiting for the opportunity!
Make it soon! Saturday afternoon/evening jam and potluck!

Sounds great, Chris! I know Kevin McNeill would be interested as well since we were talking about it this week. If we make it a Satruday, I could be authentic red beans and rice.

If the time is right I'm in!

WOW - Neil/Ron and all - what an opportunity to see some fine guitars!!
So there's lots of interest - enough we're going to need a pretty big hall,
and easy for everyone to find. Ideas?
Swallow Hill ? A room in a Rec Center somewhere?

The weather's pretty nice, how about a park?

If the weather holds, a park would do. I suggest Evergreen as it seems like there are folks down the hill in Denver, folks in Evergreen area, and folks further west in the Mountains. Or for some real fun, we could meet onstage at RedRocks! Yeah, that's it!
I nominate RedRocks on a Saturday...possibly Sept 27.

In poorer weather conditions, we could try the Evergreen Lakehouse (if it's open).

My wife informs me that my son has 2 baseball games and a B'Day party on Sept. 27. DOH! So, that day is not good for me and I gotta work Sunday. Are evenings an option?

Will bring my CA 7i. Weather not so big a factor :-)
(Depends on other activities.)

What about a time about a month or so down the road so people can make plans/schedule a meeting place/ok it with their wives for you married people :)?

That sounds like fun. I'd like to try and drop by but after Oct 7th I'm going to have to pay close attention to my wife for awhile, (neck surgery.) Lol, I have to admit though that I'd be more afraid of playing in front of you folks than I have been playing in church to a hundred people.
Maybe I could wear a bag over my head...

Please keep it sooner than Oct 26th! I'd love to attend (but I'm leaving for Europe that day).
As we get "later in the season" might be more difficult. I know a guy in North Denver that does "house concerts"- should I contact him about a venue?

Never fear. I for one have more guitars than I do talent by a LONG shot.
Matters not, it'll still be fun.

I actually have a venue lined up here in Evergreen. I've already cleared it. It's our place of worship and my wife is president of the congregation so I have a key! Nice space with a view, good acoustics, lots of chairs, full kitchen.

If it is in Evergreen in October, I think I'm in!

I've got an in with a local coffee shop and beer/wine tasting room with stage here in Fort Collins. I'm sure we could take up an afternoon before the hired talent goes on stage.

Hey Neil,
Did you clear the space for a specific date?
TonyC

yes please, lets get a date set up; and if anyone can't make it, well, then (if we enjoy ourselves) we can have another!!!!!
i'd be interested, depending on date and time.

I live in Broomfield and would try to make it down to Evergreen. I don't have much to bring though. I sold my Thompson and Langejans to cover some medical bills, so I'm without acoustic right now

Dependent upon the date/time I'd love to join in. It would have to be soon, though since my wife is expecting #5 in November so I'll be staying close to home once we get to the latter part of October. I'm in Woodland Park but am willing to drive a reasonable distance. And, if I don't catch y'all this time I will at the next meeting.

I'm friends with some musicians that live down in the woodland park area. Do you know Barry and Michelle Patterson? Or Tim and Laurie Thornton of the Blackthorn Project?

Hi guys...
Depending on time and location I'd love to join you.
We are not in Colorado, but 8 miles north of the border...we visit Denver, Fort Collins, Loveland frequently.
Edward Hamlin (sometimes visitor of the board) is in Boulder as well.

Totally game depending on the date. As Larry says, I am in Boulder but would be happy to travel if not hours and hours. This sounds like a lot of fun!! Might even have my new custom Paragon by then.....;)
