JUST got home from my son's house up in Ga. Fun for the 4th with grandkids, lakes and party barges etc. Fireworks over Lake Oconee watched from the barge.

Now that I'm officially retarded, I suppose I could make the trip. IF I can find the gas money. And I don't mean GAS !!!

Let me check on Dennis' geetar and that would be a good excuse for a trip south.

Sharky, I'm baaaaaaaaaaack!!! Sorry for dropping out for a while. My summer schedule is very busy - Ronnie is starting Univ of Maryland (Fear the Turtle!!) and I'll be visting some family too. So please don't let me be the bottleneck. Over the rest of the summer I would be honored to host in Hollywood as follows:

Sun July 20th or Sun Aug 24th

July 20th is coming up pretty quick, but that would be better for me than the Auig date. I would be running back to Daytiona for a flight out the 27th and gone for a while after that. Plus I got a rush on the other end of that trip,
so it could be done but not easily.

So I vote for the next weekend if that works for everyone else?

I'll have to rush somebody on a little Martin.

Ah... good friends, dinner and wine tonight. 9 holes of golf early in the morning. Tom and Rick arrive around lunchtime for some Saturday pickin' Rob's house on Sunday for another jam with good friends... Life is good!

Tom and Rick are on the road, on their way to me. The steaks and beer are in the fridge. The salsa and chips are ready. There's enough coffee to stay up all night. The mandolin is tuned. The dumpster is open in case someone brings a banjo.

Small in numbers, but huge fun!

With Rob hosting, Jim, Rick, Tom and me being the only people able to make it, we just let it stay free form and laughed ourselves silly a lot of the time.

I am still amazed how comfortable this group of people are when they get together. Rick and Tom stayed at my house over the weekend and I hated to see them go this morning when I had to leave for work. That is certainly a problem I need to overcome... work I mean...

Incredible what a guitar and a few basic chords can do for one's social life!
