This may be an audacious suggestion, but would there be any interest in a TGF event here in Bermuda in the summer of 2003?
I'll be happy to get some info if there are any takers...

Anyone??

(BTW, this marks my 100th post..... I thought for once I could do something useful:D)

why summer??? I don't know squat about Bermuda seasons, so you may have a great answer for that.

Unless you could find some outrageous deals for hotel and airfare, it probably won't sell real well...

easier for you (one) to come to FL or NC and meet the gang, than for all of us to get there. That having been stated, I'd love to visit Bermuda, so if you've got the energy to try and get something going, have at it!

I would love to take my wife to bermuda !!!

Is summer the best time though or is it like florida and winter is a better time ?

I know there's got to be a few more that are up for something like this, I hope anyway.

Give us some more info on seasons, things to do and such please.

Mike

The last time I was in Bermuda, I was drinking a cocktail which included equal parts of Crown Royal and Budweiser. It was, quite accurately, dubbed "Crud".

I'm not allowed in Bermuda anymore...

Steve, I talked to the immigration people and they've forgiven you. The statute of limitations on alchohol related offences is about 45 minutes. Please feel free to come down and mix any noxious liquors you wish ;)

I get the hankerin’ for a Dog’s Nose every so often myself (3 parts beer + gin to taste)

Ryan, here's a little tease for ya!

I mentioned summer in the initial post for two reasons:

1. It's the best season to enjoy the island, followed closely by spring.

2. If anything were to materialize, it would take some time for oragnization on both ends.

There are daily flights from all east coast gateways and reasonable fares can be had. Accomadation locally ranges from the obscenely expensive to reasonable. There are guest houses and cottage colonies where you'll find the best deals.

I am going to try to attend a TGF event on the East coast in the near future to get to know some of you. Maybe drum (strum?) up a little interest in BDA. I love to show off our little island!

If nothing becomes of this event, at least accept this as an open invitation to any TGF members to come on down at any time and have some fun. I will roll out the red carpet and extend the best that Bermudian hospitality has to offer :)

I'd love to come see your island......and as the local you call the ball on when it's best to be there......count me in if it's affordable
