I'll keep this short: The job Bill Ward does with his "council" for this Festival is literally "awe"some! I dropped him an email, and basically said I can't imagine how all the miniscule details (like--how many port-o-sans do you need) come together. He was a constant presence, despite a bad knee! Second, the TALENT line up--now this isn't Winfield or some HUGE thing: Jack Lawrence, Jon Garon, Chris Hillman, Herb Pedersen, Sierra Hull, Ryan Holladay-well too many to list; check out http://mayvillebluegrassfestival.com. The workshops? Me and two other "pros" (I'm not really a "pro") went to the Lawrence/Garon Workshop on Flatpicking/Fingerpicking. Jon plays fingerpicking with FOUR fingers! Incredible. So, please excuse my bragging about a Festival in our little area that we are all so PROUD of--because there ain't much good news around Chautauqua County. Now, a coupla pix.

Sunday's Bluegrass Worship-"Will The Circle Be Unbroken" (in white, Bill Ward, Festival founder, me to his right, Sierra, Ron Block-lots of others and like 8 part harmonies. What a kick to be on stage with these people! :up:
