I'm real new to the forum, but would be interested in joining for a get-together, ...that's if it's alright? I can usually remember two or three (whole) songs at any given time; so I don't tend to draw a great deal of attention. What part of Southern CA are you in? I'm in (northern) Santa Barbara County.

You are welcome to come. Dennis and his wife are great hosts and you'll have a great time and meet some great people. He is near LAX. He'll send you location information now that he's seen you post.
So practice those 3 songs, I'll be working on mine. :)

As Steve said you are definitly welcome to come join us. If the drive is too far, stay the night and return the next day. There is plenty of room here and there is always enough food left to have a good breakfast before you head back home.

Russ (Koaguitarman ) will be sending out the invitations soon and there will be directions and phone numbers and all the info you will need. Bring anyone you wish to come along with you.

If the three songs you know match the 3 chords I play then maybe we can jam together. :D

Thanks so much for both the warm welcome (here) and your gracious offer of hospitality. Depending on how late into the evening we go, I might gratefully accept. Maybe you could teach me that third chord (there are only three, aren't there?). :-) I've almost got the first two figured out.

The 7/26/08 gathering is at the Ramsey compound. Everyone is welcome
for food/pickin'/grinnin'/etc, it will start @ 11 AM & go until we
drop. Post on this thread or contact Dennis @ islandbbq@gmail.com to confirm you are coming and how many will be
attending with you. For all of the new people who have never attended
one of these, please try to make it so you can experience all of the
fun.

Bring any instrument you wish to play or come and just have some fun listening!
We will supply food and some drinks... *There will be a donation jar
out ...... help if you can but it's not required .... If the choice is
between food and gas to get here... spend it on the gas : )
