I had a friend (and guest) cancel on me for a T.E. show Thursday evening and now have 2 extra tickets. It's at the Birchmere in Alexandria, Virginia, Thursday, 7:30 pm. Tickets are $40 each if anyone is interested. They are will calls, so I'd have to arrange to meet you there to get them to you and we can settle up then. Send me a pm if you are interested. First person(s) to commit gets the tickets.

I'm coming from near Westminster, Maryland and plan on going down with my wife and another couple early to have dinner before the show and to beat the nasty beltway traffic, so I expect to pick up the tickets in the 5-6 pm window.

I'm at work, so I'll be checking back as often as I can, but not at regular intervals. Thanks!

John

John,

Not sure if you have been to the Birchmere before or not, but recommend getting there around 5pm as the line to get in will be forming around then, if not before... (great venue by the way)

When you pick up your tickets you receive a number (just like at the barbershop). There is a bar area that is open to enjoy a beverage until the the hall doors open at 6pm (if I remember correctly). People are let in to the hall based on the number they have received. A person will be calling numbers out in order and people file into the hall. You then pick your table/seat (open seating). This prevents last minute people from pushing their way up to the front. From 6-the start of the show is dinner. They have a pretty good menu.

The show be great! I have seen Tommy's show twice at the Birchmere and both were fantastic.

Thanks for the info Steve! I am looking forward to the show. I think if I leave around 3'ish, I should be there before 5 to get in line. Hopefully, someone on the forum here will take the extra tickets and join in on the fun.

Sorry for the late reply, we lost power late yesterday afternoon in the storms and were out all evening.

Okay guys, I have moga's phone number and will call him when I arrive. Then we'll find each and take care of the tickets.

Moga has my number, so call me if you have an questions. I've never been to the Birchmere, but Steve's post above seems to fill in the blanks for me. Hopefully parking is not an issue and if you guys have any suggestions/hints about where to park, let me know. Thanks! See you guys tomorrow.

There is parking right at the venue - but the close in will fill early I'm guessing since T.E. is a popular show. I actually try to park so I can get OUT after the show, as there is only 1 tight entrance/exit for parking there.

I'll be there too guys - see you in the lounge.

Sorry to have missed you moga and eric - what a phenomenal show Tommy put on! John good to see you again, to meet Art and hear about his home guitar studio - I'm envious and looking forward to seeing it when you host that gathering!

Saw Tommy's show at the B.B. King Blues Club on Manhattan. Way too loud .. but still a great show. The best part was the numbers he did with Frank Vignola .. thye great jazz player .. together they really tore it up. Also, the Kalamazoo played through a mic was very fine. I wish he'd do more material just mic'd, without all that amplification.
