Well it sounds like something Those who could participate in would enjoy mightily and I appreciate the fox hunt for facts you sent me on. LOL
I reckon if it was as successfull to Taylor as it seems to have been for the participants it very well might be going to occur on some regularity. Anyone know about that? Or is that another thread chase LOL

Yeah it would be another thread chase. Suffice it to say that J.R. Rogers our valiant leader has said he would love for Taylor to invite us again next year or whenever they want. Everybody who went had a great time. There were 100 possible openings this year and 60 people went -- and it seemed like a good number of folks.
No plans for another TaylorStock but everybody here seems up for it! Except maybe Bob Taylor & Co. They're still recovering from the first one!

Hell, I know that I'd be up for another one. Granted, I'd have to make those pesky travel plans from Santee to El Cajon, but I'm sure I'd survive...

I'd love to do this again. Everyone really had a great time and Taylor went all out. One of the challenges for doing this again would be making it as great as the first. I believe that attendance would be much higher and most feel that the attendance level for the last one was just right. Any more might be too much. It's one of the hurdles we'd have to figure out. Currently no plans to do this again, however. Sorry.

There were lots of East Coasters there: several from Florida, several from the Carolinas and the DC area. I think I was the only one from NYC.
I'd informally put West Coast attendance at a third to a half?? Just a total guess.
There is a roster somehwere, I'll see if I can find it and post it here.

Hey Uncle Bob and JR,
If you do it again, I'll be there in a heartbeat.
That would make me an international entry from WAY off the right coast.... I'll bring lots of the famous Bermuda Black Rum, too:roll: :D
I'll teach y'all how to make a "Dark n' Stormy"....yum.. and then we'll write a song about it ;)

hi, i'm a new member & would like say thanks to all involved for this site. it's great! i just wish i would have known about it a few months back as i live san diego county. the guitars you guys had built were fantastic. i especially liked mike carters' cocobolo with the florentine cut-away, wow! very cool. i know we can't talk prices here, but is there a chance i can chat with someone concerning the pricing for this event & how it was handled????
i would love to be part of this event should it happen again.

Hi oviraptor and welcome to TGF!
I stayed with friends in Escondido during TaylorStock! We can only hope there may be another one day.
The event itself was just a $45 registration fee. Even if you couldn't make it to the evenet you got at least a couple of Tee Shirts!
The guitars were custom shop orders (with a few benes thrown in by Taylor) but all were ordered through the usual dealer network.

I know without a doubt that I would be there should it happen again, no matter what it took.......:) Even if I have to walk!

My biggest regret about Taylorstock is that I didn't order a guitar. If it happens again, I will absolutely get one. Seeing Mike Carters', JR's, and Meridians' guitars got me a little, well, jealous. Tina Carson (not sure if she gets to the Forum much) also got a sweet 614CE with orange back and sides and an LR Baggs Dual Source.
My "Taylorstock" guitar is my 314; Bob signed the back of the headstock with a Sharpie...

I know there's no official word on this, but I'm saving my pennies now, just hopin' that something might happen come next Summer-time. ;)
