I just bought tickets to see Mr. Lightfoot here in Columbus on April 3rd. I got middle stage row 26, so not too bad. Tickets were $50 each. Should be a good show as I am trying to learn "If You Could Read My Mind" as my first fingerstyle song.

I'm envious, Gordon isn't coming anywhere near my neck of the woods this year. Also, did you know Pete Huttlinger has a new instructional DVD out with the songs of Gordon Lightfoot? Mine hasn't arrived yet. Although I'm sure he's not doing strict fingerstyle interpretations but there will be some good stuff on there I'm sure.

I have been looking for Pete's DVD, and found it available on his website, just haven't pulled the trigger on one yet. I am interested in seeing what Gordo has to offer at the concert for sale.

Will you post a review or at least PM me about the concert?

Many thanks

Saw him years ago here in Indianapoils. Hope he's recovered from his illness and gotten back to full voice. As time goes by, he continues to rise in my estimation as one of the best songwriters of the past several decades. The Tony Rice album of covers of Lightfoot songs is great.

For those of you who have the DVD, what songs are covered on it? I've been thinking about getting it and would love to hear your feedback.

Thanks
John

The Dvd says "Includes Early Morning Rain, Carefree Highway, Rainy Day People, Circle of Steel, Steel Rail Blues, Bitter Green, If You Could Read My Mind and Cold on the Shoulder."

I go the info off www.petehuttlinger.com (http://www.petehuttlinger.com)

I also have Pete's instructional Gordon Lightfoot DVD - Not quite up to the caliber of the Jim Croce DVD in my opinion, but still useful.
