All I can say is WoW!!! I dont know who to thank first?

JR Baker!! God Bless you brother, what a fantastic chair you built for me!!! The sound seat is the best guitar seat Ive ever sat in and I love them even more with the back. If youve ever wondered about getting one take my word its money well spent, while JR donated mine, Mrs JW liked it so much she had to have one so JR made her a sweet deal on her own. Next time we go to one of these events The soundseats will go with us!! Those steel seats are a pai in the arse after several hours  Thank you so much JR! JR really worked the show like a pro, a super nice guy with the best guitar chair on the market, What more could you ask?

Rick Crider!! Rick your the hardest working guy I know putting together an event I ever seen! Rick worked his event majic from the opening bell to the very end. Thank you for doing such a fantastic job of putting all this together. Im sure Myself and everybody else really appreciates everything you did and I assure you it didnt go unnoticed. Thank you for giving so much of yourself for the benifit of others.

Holloways music, Just incredible and incredible staff from Marion right on down. Some of the nicest and helpful people you would ever want to meet. Some really good deals also. Holloways put on the feedbag for lunch and me and JR Baker really took advantage:roll:  The food was great the staff even better. You didnt have to worry about a thing. To Marion Halloway and the entire staff of Halloways Music Thank you so much for making it such a great event.

Jennifer, Im angry at you for letting me play your beautiful 654 taylorstock guitar. I want one so bad now its killing me. Im not a maple guy but that baby sings!!!! It has the longest sustain Ive ever seen in a 12 string guitar. I have to outright admit it was my favorite taylorstck guitar on hand. Absolutly incredible!!!

I just cant say enough about the attaendees of this event. Everyone was so nice it just made the event so special. I really enjoyed myself all day and into the night untill I had to sit on a 4 foot high stool at Buffolo's I had to eat and run because while jeff rearick was sing his butt off my butt was screaming for mercy:roll:

Michecl Queen gave outstaning tips that really had a classical flair and really took a lot of time to answer guestions and Stan is incredible also. For those of you who dont know David_m is absolutly incredible for a guy who has only been playing 5 years, heck he's just an incredible player period.
Timmypack!! I knew you could do it! AND WHAT A GREAT JOB YOU DID!!! I made sure I went to the Mic. before timmy just to show him people really wont throw rotten food at you if you suck:roll:

A nicer bunch of people you could never find!!! The door prizes were great and left with a T shirt, some picks and the amp. I bought the amp from the winner:roll:

A big thank you to everyone for everything and even for signing my baby maple. I know I left so many people out of this but thank you all for your stories, your inspiation and your kindness and Id like to give one last thanks to Mike Williams for singing my favorite Elverly Brothers tune:roll:

One last thanks goes out to my absolutly wonderful wife who without her I couldnt enjoy anything. When I think of all she does for me and the confidence she instills even when things get so bad that most would walk away she never leaves my side. She is truly one of a kind. She called our morgage companey to see if we could skip a paymet just so I could go. They did it and she enjoyed it as much as I did. We had an absolute blast from friday til we got home this morning. Thank you honey for making all my dreams come true!!

I cant wait till next time!!! JW

You know, my folks live in North Carolina (Brown's Summit; outside Greensboro), and I was trying to figure a way to get a trip to visit them to coincide with a trip to the North Carolina gathering. As it turned out, neither one happened.

JW, now you've made me regret not taking my vacation! Sounds like an excellent time was had by all. It's hard not to have a good time when you've got some of these TGF'ers around you.

And, if Jen's 654 plays and sounds anything like Meridian's, I'M WITH YA! Great sounding guitars.

Well, sounds like a good time was had by all; and I know I speak for everyone here when I say we're looking forward to the pictures!

Sorry you couldn't make that trip, Steve. All I know about NC is that it's north of SC.

I am sure that Jen's 654 is exactly as nice as mine -- they are virtual twins! And yes, it is a super nice 12!

NE GT next spring!!!:)

Thanks for the great write-up of the event, JW! Sounds like a great time. I'm really envious of everyone who got to go! Knowing Rick, I know that this was a first-class event. I really wish I could have been there.

Jennifer... You were trying to talk me into that 654CE at TaylorStock. Maybe I shoulda listened! :D

JR, Rick is a event kind of guy! He did a first class Job and worked the event the entire time. I cant say enough about his dedication to something because he doesnt know the meaning of half way. He did a tremendous Job!!

As far as that 654, Ive never been a Maple guy, One model ha shed new light on that old outlook. Its Groovy:roll: JW

JW, I heard you playing the 654, and just had to turn and see where the sound was coming from. It REALLY does sound great! Almost magical.

JW, I didn't want to say it like that!

Jennifer, that really is a beautiful and great sounding guitar. I didn't play it, but I heard it from across the room more than once. It's a real ear turner.

JW You and I both know that the Beatles did Eight Days A Week. I didn't make that too clear when I introduced my song. However, if I had someone there to be Don to my Phil I would have definately done All I have to do is dream, or Don't blame me , or Walk right back, or Cathy's clown, or I'll do my crying in the rain or Like strangers or bird dog, or Ebony eyes, or So sad to watch good love go bad, or Lucille, or Bye bye love or, Till I kissed you, or Wake up little susie,or Devoted to you, or Let it be me. Have I left any out? maybe next time. your brother mw

You pick your favorite. Maybe this could be a new thread. What is your favorite Everlly Brothers song. Find me a partner and I'll do it
