Is there anyone in College park MD that want to pluck a few strings?

I'm out in Leesburg...but there are a lot of DC area members. "sayheyjeff" is in Chevy Chase, not far from College Park.
Watch the DC area gatherings threads.
Also: http://www.levineschool.org - guitar fest coming up near UDC metro.

As noted, I am not far and am wanting to play with others. Will be out of town most of the next 2 weeks. After that I would be interested. The gatherings noted have been really good and there are quite a few people in the area that are talking getting together to play. A variety of skill levels (starting with me as a determined student) and musical interests. Please follow the DC gathering threads as they start up again behind LindaW's great energy and enthusiasm. Sounds like an April gathering is gaining momentum. Will be the 4th in about 6 months. What do you like to play?
welcome to the forum and looking forward to meeting you.

If you could only see my history on 911tabs.com...I like to play everything, if i hear a song that i like i always look for it and figure it out. I rarely take the time to memorize, just refer back if i need.

I live in Rockville which isn't far. Don't get to CP too often though.

I can host mid to late April when Jeff gets back. I'll think about a couple dates and get back to y'all.
For those in the DC area, Melodee Music on Rte 7 in Sterling, VA is having an Acoustifest on 6th April from 9-6. Martin, Taylor, Breedlove and others will be there with guitars to play/sell and doing set-ups. There will also be workshops and music. There is a charge for a ticket (I think around $15) that's good all day.
Sounds like a fun time! I'll be there at 9:00 AM sharp to check out the goodies!

I was gonna list the Acoustifest too. Though...the price is $33 in advance and I think $40 if you walk in that day. Looks like a real good day though. Linda see ya there, and thanks for offering to host again!

Acoustifest is on my schedule too. Went a few years ago and it was excellent. Happy to meet up with folks there.

OK, Boone told me about Acoustifest, but I couldn't find out anything until here - now. Thanks guys. WAIT A MINUTE!!! When I go to Melodee's webpage it says "2005 Events"!!!! Where do I find the poop on the one in April 2008? OK, found it. Googled "Acoustifest", it took me back to the UMGF!
When Davebruboy started this thread he was talking about jammin somewhere on the NE corner I thought, but it seems to have now evolved into another MD-DC-VA thing again (which is alright with me). So keep me posted. :D
Of course I'm in Frederick (MD), and even though I drive over to Greenbelt (well NASA/GSFC) once or twice a week, I'm not usually in the habit of traveling that direction for fun (but exceptions could be made). :)

haha....yeah, Melodee isn't much at updating their website. I'll contact Melodee and get permission to post the flyer - and I'll start a new thread with the info.:)
