Hi everyone - Just wanted to let you know about a great opportunity to learn (or add to your knowledge of ) SWING GUITAR. The dates are JULY 13 - 18, 2008. This week-long event, now celebrating it's 20th year, includes instruction on many instruments as well as swing dance. THE SWING GUITAR INSTRUCTOR is STEVE ABSHIRE (www.steveabshire.com), a star student of Herb Ellis' who subbed for Herb on the Great Guitars tour. Steve is a wonderful teacher and a very nice guy! When you're not studying with Steve, you'll have the opportunity to jam with the other students & staff, go to concerts, forums, dances. Swing Week runs concurrently with Blues Week, so there's more opportunities for jamming there, too! The event takes place and housing & meals are available on the campus of Davis & Elkins College.
