Those who saw these two on their tour last year know how spectacular their show will be. Led has asked me to open several of these shows, and I didn't think twice about accepting.

Fans of Hawaiian music already know that Led is one of the great musical geniuses of our time. He has a brilliant and distinctive style that draws on and honors his early years growing up in the remote village of Kalapana on the Big Island of Hawai`i. On top of this traditional foundation Led has built his own very personal approach, developed as a busy professional and nurtured by his continuing devotion to music. If you're a fan of acoustic guitar, you owe it to yourself to see this remarkable artist perform.
Mike Kaawa is one of the terrifically talented Hawaiian musicians who remains known mainly to locals. He has recorded three CDs, performs regularly to enthusiastic audiences on O`ahu, composes terrific new music with Hawaiian language lyrics, and seems to know _every_ traditional Hawaiian song. His energy and versatility make him a favorite among other artists, including the legendary Eddie Kamae who has built his latest Sons of Hawai`i around Mike's talents. If you're like me, you'll be a big fan after one show.
As an extra special treat, Led and Mike will be releasing a live CD recorded on last year's tour. I haven't heard it, but having seen many of those shows I know I'm going to be first in line to buy a copy. The release will coincide with the first date, in Portland.
