View Full Version : Monroestock?
Is Monroestock still gonna happen in the spring? I've been away from the forum for a while, so I never heard a date.

It was yesterday, man it was great! I can't believe they got Tommy Emmanuel to come to little Monroe NC. That tops all the Monroestocks yet! What a fantastic time. Just kidding. I am looking forward to hearing when it is too.

Vicki (AKA my better half) talked to Marion Holoway (2 Ls?) over the holidays (we buy Taylorware from them every year), and they're still planning a spring event, but the date hasn't gelled yet is what I thinks she told me, but I've slept since then.

Not to take away from Mstock, but if the Bonds (or anyone else) is up to traveling to Kentucky, we'd be glad to have you April 26. Besides, there's a killer guitar here to try out. ;) If possible, I plan to make M-stock in the spring when they come up with a date. I hope it's Derby Day. I hate Louisville on Derby Day. ;)

And I can't believe they were giving away R. Taylors!

I hate Louisville on Derby Day. ;)
A friend told me a story about how he tried to order a pizza on Derby Day and they told him they wait time would be two and a half hours. He called another pizza parlor and they told him they were totally booked for the day.
I haven't lived in Louisville since 1974 and I've only been to the Derby once. I sat in the infield with my fraternity brothers and couldn't get within 100 yards of the rail to see a race pass by. I never saw a horse all day.
