Well I got a call from Steve saying my 654CE-LTD had arrived and did I want to wait until the 810 came in so they could ship together. I said "and I would want to do that why??" To which he said "Exactly!"

So, if DHL hasn't picked up for the day, I should have a new TS 12 string sometime tomorrow!! if it shows up, I'll take pics and put them up and put the link here.

I am remarkably calm!;)

And you're going to get your 654ce-ltd the same day I am. I wonder if ours also share the same birth and finish day. We'll have to compare notes.

Show us pictures when you can and I'll take some good pictures of mine. Now we only have to wait for our 810ltds. One down...one to go!!!! Yeah!!!!! :p

Steve called back to say the guitar is gorgeous and the flamey neck is like "Chicago Fire flamey!" Everything is a go and it should arrive tomorrow!

Remain calm!

Joe,

Let it go, be yourself...pace, worry, jump up and down......count the minutes......and take pictures before playing (or get someone else to do it).

Enjoy.......you guys have got me thinking about a GA 12......next time!???

OMIGAWD!!!!

This is my first ever custom guitar and I am just blown away!

What incredible fun it was to select the maple for the back and sides, but when Bob T asked me what style I would play this 12, I said "I'm a strummer" and this baby REALLY lives up to the job!

I have wanted a maple GA since I played my first 614CE, but I could too easily overdrive the top. Not with this one!

Pics soon!

:D :D :D :D :D

OH YEAH!

And it plays great and sounds wonderful, too!!

I'm a VERY happy TaylorStocker camper guy!

AND I got my wish that each of the two guitars would have its own moment!

You know, Tim it is NICE! It's not the most outrageous quilting ever, and it is NOT AAA grade maple, but I like it and that's what counts!

Was my sanity really in danger??

We have another winner, ladies and gents! But then, this is really no surprise. Joe, that top is almost as pretty as the maple, and the abalone is dazzling! And the maple is fascinating -- there's a circular swirl in the two outer pieces that's almost hypnotic. Just beautiful!

WOW! Congrats that is beautiful!

Just a few comments about the tone of this guitar.

I find it very even sounding. Not jangly in the way the 355 is (and jangly is NOT a perjorative term here), and without the "sweetness" of the W65. Neither warm nor overly bright, chords exhibit good note definition with no "mushiness." Great "clarity." Gosh it is hard to use words to describe sound.

And I think the GA size really works well. These smaller 12s should be a big hit for Taylor.

Joe,

Words are hard to find to define that beauty! Let me try anyhow... STUNNING!!!

Very nice guitar! Definitely worth the wait, right?

I am glad she sounds great also. Enjoy...

Best Regards,
Doug L. :)

The case smells of burnt marshmallows, really.:)

The bigger latches are great. No warranty card. No truss rod tool. I'll call Taylor about those

I know what you mean Joe.

Did you get a key for your lock? I didn't. I got everything else though, including my loose clear pickguard. I was jealous when you got your guitar this morning and I didn't get mine until 5pm this evening. I'm just happy it made it in one piece with no cracks.

Jeffrey

They have to send it to the New Yorkers first. They know they have less patience than we Texans. ;)

Joe - that guitar is just beautiful. Congratulations!
