Just got a call from Mojo's Music. My TS 615 Ltd. is in! I can't leave work until about 4:00. This could be the worst wait of all. I'll let you all know about it as soon as I can.

Yeah Mark! I sure can't wait to see some pictures of the finished product.
Yeah...my dealer also got my 654ce-LTD in today. I'm sitting here by the phone waiting for his call. I asked him to take some digital pictures of it before he ships it to me. Once I get them I'll post the pictures. I guess our maples were some of the last one's made. I also found out that my 810LTD will be shipping sometime next week, so hopefully I'll have it before the Nov. 2nd NC get-together.
Joe...you could be next buddy! :p

Congrats, Mark!!! I still can't get over that set of quilted maple that you found. Simply stunning! I used a few pictures of it on the TaylorStock DVD slideshows.

The 615 is fabulous! Great sound and the quilted maple came out fantastic. The neck is absolutely incredible.
BUT, the bridge is ebony, not cocobolo! I was so excited when I opened the case, that I almost didn't notice. Bob Moggio (Mojo's Music) called Taylor right away and talked to Ed. Ed was extremely disappointed that they didn't catch it before it shipped. They told Bob to send it right back and they would fix it, no problem. Sooooo, I will be without it for at least a couple of weeks. But I've seen it, played it, and love it. I already miss it and it ain't even gone yet.
I will post some pictures and then update them when it gets back with the new bridge.

Man... that's too bad, Mark. Taylor has made a few goof-ups on these guitars. I know that Ed's checking them as best he can. I almost got a 514CE with a satin ebony headstock but Ed caught it before it went out. Too bad it arrived with a pickguard. :( Dropped off both of my TS guitars at UPS yesterday. :(

Mark....between the two of us we got some NICE freaking maple.
I don't know about you, but mine is a little like my personality....wild and crazy. Your maple is very stable and even looking. I love it! Are you a very stable and controlled person? If dogs often showcase their owner's personalities, I wonder if our maple does also. I'd be interested to hear your opinions on that. I wonder if that's why we each picked the maple we did. I'm really curious about this now. Any psychos....ooops, I mean psychologists out there. ;)
Now we're going to have to have a Maple Owner's get-together to check out eachother's wood. I would love to hear how your guitar sounds. When you get it back from Taylor, let us know.
Congratulations!

Hey Mark!
Just got a look at those pics! WOW! Even nicer than expected!
Too bad about the bridge, especially with the inlay. Is that the current 900 series inlay? Very nice!
Also makes me really glad I opted to upgrade the neck of my 654CE to the adjoining piece of flamey maple!:)
Yea Jennifer, I am pretty stable & controlled. I have my moments though. You're right about our maples. They are both beautifully quilted, but in different ways.
Mine sounds great. Probably not as bright as I would have thought. Although, my satinwood 314c is brighter, so I am glad the maple is as it is.
I am thrilled with my TS guitars. Can't wait to see the 615 after they put on the cocobolo bridge.
Yea Joe, mine is the current 900 series inlay and I love it. If I'm not mistaken, the 6xx Ltds. don't come in a jumbo, so mine is even more unique.
What a great opportunity this was. I am very glad I didn't miss it.

Yeah I remember one of those moments clearly!! You ran into me at TS with a Taylor employee and that incredible quilted maple! I've never seen such excitement in a human!;) You were like a little kid!
