Used to live near Summit Point, not too far from Winchester. Ya missed me by three years.

If it isn't rush hour I don't think its far. Can't be more than an hour or so from me in the Bethesda/Chevy Chase area around Washington. Hell, I commute 40 minutes to work where there are no guitars and there isn't any music.

True enough. I was just wondering if there are some folks even closer.

Thanks!

Front Royal is nothing but a suburb of DC anymore, and Luray is a reasonable drive from Front Royal, that means we are practically neighbors to my place in Manassas!

Seriously, my parents live in Winchester, but I'm not out there real often and that's still a bit from where you live.

I get out that way a lot, but I don't typically have my guitar with me since I'm on my motorcycle when I'm out there. Guess I could strap it on my back and journey out :)

I'm in Leesburg...probably about an hour +

People come from long distances to the DC/NoVA gatherings when they occur - Pat from PA, others from NC and farther North. Watch that post.

Boone is right, Cakes has a get-together up towards DC and watch for monroestock down near Charlotte in Monroe NC.

I am in the Winston-Salem area, not that far away, Bobby

I'm in Front Royal, but I play strictly gospel on the acoustic. I don't have a rock or country set list anymore, and don't know how much of one I could get together. I spent 20 years playing top 40 rock and country, but that was on electric and as a lead guitarist. A lot of that doesn't translate to acoustic. I do follow real well, though.

I'm in Warrenton, but that's still pretty far from Luray - an hour, maybe.
