Ghosts, Vampires, Strong Women and Other Scary Stuff"--!

OOh... strong women, I don't know if my heart could take that, the rest is a piece of cake!

Someday, Sandy, I'll be out there when you're playing, but for tonight I'm home in DC. Have a great show!

I had a darn good excuse for missing this time. I've been in Myrtle Beach for the last 4 days. Just checking in from wi-fi. Hope it all went well.

No apologies necessary, Marshall--it was a dirty job but someone had to do it, right?

Detroit went well--the prednisone kicked in enough for me to be in okay voice (and the PA and acoustics were terrific), and we had a full house (mostly in constume). In honor of the guy who came as a werewolf, we did "Werewolves of London." Stayed at the home of an old friend, a former Chicagoan who is an ace hammer-dulcimer player (probably still the best I've ever heard), recording engineer and fellow coffee aficionado.

Rockford was another story. The promised PA never materialized and to make a long story short, I blew out my voice again trying to be heard when singing lead, even though I'd been reassured that the others would keep their own vocal and instrumental volumes down to prevent a relapse of my laryngitis. Needless to say, one bandmember broke that promise. (I am so furious that I can't talk about it on-list).
