I'm checking this section every day watching all my compatriots from Taylorstock recieve their guitars. I get excited with each of you as you describe your new TS jewels. As of yet the only hint that mine is under construction is a label that has my name on it in Mary's photos. With that said I'm just wondering how many are in the same boat as me and ...........who will be the last?

Levity,

At the moment, I am 0 for 2. So, I have a very good shot at it.

I keep telling myself Taylor knows how picky I am. They are simply putting a little extra care in making sure my guitars are PERFECT before they ship them to me. Yeah... that's it...

That's my story and I am sticking to it!

BobT is holding my 2 TS guitars for last so he can take special holographic pictures of them, reline the cases with actual poodle fur and then hand deliver them to me!

So I'll be last!

Mine probably won't be last, but I'm looking at another 10 days or so. I got a call from my dealer in Colorado a couple days ago regarding the tuners on my 814c redwood. I spec'd Schaller tuners originally, but Taylor is recommending that I go with Grovers which have a higher tuning ratio than the Schallers they offer.

Who was I to argue, so I went with the Grovers. According to the dealer, they're down to putting those on, so I suspect it will go out early next week to the dealer.

Right now, I'm in Hawaii and won't be back until the 21st, so either way, I'll have to wait. I can think of worse places to wait for a guitar.

I'm guessing mine will be pretty soon seeings as Mary had pictures of the body complete for the most part.

We'll see. :)

I think it'll be mine. Seriously. Mary at least has pictures of her bodies completed or needing gloss. Some of you have at least seen your labels.

I have neither................:(

Some other TGF'ers have put forth the theory that mine is last because of the florentine cutaway. I don't remember that being such a difficult thing for Taylor to do, with how long they've been doing the DDSM and all.

:sigh: With my luck, mine will be the last.........

Oh well, I've waited this long, what's another week and a half?

............an eternity.

Mike A., I really think yours has already been started and just hasn't been spotted ... it looks like no TS guitars are getting started anymore and that mine was in the last batch. Yours will get to you, whether or not I can get a picture of it ... I think we've already seen proof of that. Is there anyone who's gotten their guitar when I've taken a picture of it?

Mine also has a Florentine Cutaway Mike,

I have seen a picture of my Label though thanks to Mary, and it said 10-17-02. I hope thats true, it's only a week away. If it is true, it will reinforce Mary's point about guitars getting done without being spotted. Mine should be very obvious, but it has not been spotted at all. I am thankful for even the label Piture.

I hope your comes soon Mike, I know how the anxiety must be building up. I am feeling it myself.

I wonder if I'm going to be 2nd to last...still not done yet, but all good things come to those who wait, right?

I am still leading the race! 0 for 2...

We need to conduct a reverse roll call. Who has not received their Taylorstock guitar???

Inquiring minds want to know...

Best Regards,
Doug L. :)

I still don't have mine! It's missing in action (I think in the repair shop).

JR told me to stop whining about it...

I don't have my guitar, but I'm not whining...

I won't whine -- Really, I won't...

Won't cry either...

Well aside from 2 pics that Buddiesorg (Mary) got of the coco body of my 810 back on Oct 4th, I've seen or heard nary a thing on the 810 or the 654CE-LTD.

But you gotta have faith!! (as George Michael said):)

My son's (Anj) 310 ltd shipped already, but I haven't heard yet on my 814c rosewood/redwood. Last information I received was that they were down to knowing what kind of tuners I wanted. I'm hoping it's on its way soon.

Doesn't seem to be any logical chronology of the order of guitars finished or unfinished. But I'm sure that Taylor minds sat down and came up with some sense of production chronology based upon what fit in best with their production schedule of other guitars, limiteds, etc.

I would have loved to have had a photo of mine somewhere in the production process, but it apparently wasn't ever seen by anyone. Anyway, looking forward to playing the guitar that Bob built.

Hey Scott:

Guess you'll just have to mess with Anj's for awhile until you get yours, right?

I'm still awaiting word on mine as well - there were several pictures of it in production a number of weeks back...so I wonder what happened?

I was hoping to have it once I got back from my trip...:(

P.S. How was Hawaii?

Hawaii was great...didn't want to come back, except that I have a guitar to look forward to. Actually, I'm in your neck of the woods right now, but heading back to CA, then flying back home to CO. Been in Mesa/Tempe area for a HS reunion.

I'm hoping to hear from my dealer this coming week...he thinks it is coming real soon.

Hey - guess you were pretty busy with the HS reunion! Next time you're around, let me know if you have some time.

Hopefully, we'll both have our guitars by then...

How many are still waiting? I am. If you are, check in here and we'll console each other. Seriously I am interested in how many have not heard from their dealers yet. I don't know why, must be misery loves company.

I haven't heard a peep but I've seen pictures of the complete body (which is kinda odd). The pics are like two weeks old too! I thought for sure it'd be done by now. :\

Still waiting, although my dealer left me a message to call yesterday. I guess I'll find out today if there is any news...

Haven't heard anything yet. I called Steve last week and he's busier than a one-armed paper hanger, so I don't want to bug him anymore than absolutely necessary.

I'm hoping it will be in by the end of this week, but it seems production must be running into some snags. I say take your time and get it right -- I can wait...

Actually, I can't! I'm just being polite...

Jeffrey, I thought I already told you that your guitar is still waiting for its neck ... sorry if I didn't ... it's a somewhat common thing ...

Oh you did. ;)

I'm just complaining because it seems like it's been waiting for a few weeks.

Well...I won't be the last I guess since mine is on its way. According to Steve, some of the holdup may have been because BobT was out of town and he needed to personally inspect all of our guitars :)

I can live with that...;)

No word on either of mine yet....though it looks like several of the best guitars.....you know....the COCOBOLO's .... ..... are beginning to meet their new owners now .....

My 814 sticker that Mary spotted for me showed a potential completion date of 10-16-02.....which was Wednesday a week ago....so I'm hoping for mine any day now. There were other stickers on that same page that I think have already been delivered.....

And, of course, I'm beginning to pace the floor now, hoping that it will be here in time for our upcoming workshop next weekend. I've already contacted my dealer and authorized 'Next Day Air' ....at any cost.... to get it here pronto once it's ready.

Ain't anxiety great? heheheeee.
