It was a pleasure to bump into Rollie and meet up with Forensicguy at the show today! Is anyone else going tomorrow?

I posted some images of the show on my blog at www.russlowe.blogspot.com There's a link on there to see all of the images as well.
There are some nice Collings and McPhersons there, so if you've ever wanted to try these... here's your chance!
Here's three images to whet your appetite:

I wish! Instead I'm still in Lake Las Vegas spending my intended GAS money on food, wine and spa treatments. So what did you buy at the show? (Didn't even know there was one!)

Howdy,
I didn't even know there was a Chicago gs.
I'm not viewing the AGF enough, apparently...
Please: where is the show, and is it on for Sunday, too ?
Thanks,
Reed

Reed:
The show is at the DuPage Expo Center in St. Charles. It's directly across the street from Pheasant Run.
The show will also run on Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM.
I won't be there, but Jim and Alicia might... at least that's what they said they were planning to do. Admission is $10... parking is free.

Thanks for the info. I'll be there, probably just after lunch.
I hope to see others AGFs there.
I hope I recognize them, having not seen any of them in so long...

Jim, Alicia
Were there many left handed models for you to consider?

There were lots of lefty Gretsches, but we have those bases covered pretty well. There were enough to make the show worthwhile, and 4 that merited serious thought; and 1 came home with us. There was another that we are thinking about, and when we go back today we will look at it again.:)

Hhhhhhmmmm. I missed this.
Gee it's been a whirl-wind weekend with my daughter getting married yesterday. But I'm kinda sitting here in the afterglow. My hangover is not too bad. Maybe I'll hop on the motorcucle and take a ride down there.
It's already 1:00 pm. If I'm gonna go I better make up my mind.

I did zip on down there. Nice day for a cycle ride.
I saw a '56 Gibson Country Western like my '59. They wanted $****for it. Mine was under half that 2 years ago. (and is a better playing instrument).
Also saw a couple McPheresons that were very nice. One was probably my fav of the show. But @ $**** they've gotten pricey.
And a Clarence White Martin with brazillin rosewood for $***. Very nice, but not my taste (or my price range).
And a Parker Fly acousitc. A pretty decent acoustic guitar. I always wanted to try one of those. I didn't plug it in, though the guy told me I could.
I bought a very nice tee shirt for $10. :D

This reminds me that, if Jim and Alicia are inclined to be so gracious yet again, I'm looking forward to another Chicago area gathering of AGFer's next summer ( or earlier if anyone else feels inclined ).

We went back on Sunday, and picked up a Rickenbacker Model 350 with lots of custom ordered extras on it, I have not had a chance to take proper photos of it yet.:D
