View Full Version : Seattle Get-Togethers
Is there ever anything up here? I would think in an area as music-centric as Seattle is, there must be something!

That sounds like a great idea! I think one of the problems with getting something together here has been having someone step up an offer to host it. Since you're volunteering the location why don't you suggest a couple of dates that are convenient for you and see who's interested and what works for them.
I'm in!! I'll even host the second get-together. Sadly, the dinner fare would be more along the lines of pop tarts but I do have some good wines! :D

I'll check places in Kirkland to see if they can host a Saturday or Sunday afternoon jam/guitar circle. In the winter the business is slow, maybe they could use some free entertainment to draw a few passing customers.
Speaking for myself, while I may be a star in my living room, I'm uncomfortable playing in public.
DaveG and I got together recently at my place and music history was made. It was like when Lennon met McCartney, Simon met Garfunkel, Abbott met Costello. Magic, indeed.
I would be willing to host a weekend afternoon get-together sometime in Oct if I could could get some halfway serious commitments to attend. There's nothing more ego-deflating than throwing a party and no one shows up.

Indeed, a good time was had by all, and we didn't even get any complaints from the neighbors :).
