View Full Version : My 314c is here!!
As of 2:00 PM this afternoon, I am the proud owner of my satinwood and Engelmann 314c. It is just gorgeous and has a great sound. Very bright! I had been told that it would be and I am not disappointed. I will try and post pictures as soon as I can. I may need help, so let me know what to do.
I still can't believe it is here!

Congratulations, Mark! That's some score, getting satinwood and engelmann in a 314, but it's just more TaylorStock magic.
If you have a digital camera, all you need is an interface to upload the pictures to your PC. They should come through in JPG format, which is pretty much the standard for full-color web pictures. If you have a regular camera, take the pictures to a place where they'll put the pictures on disc or CD in JPG format as well as prints. It only costs a little more, and it's especially worthwhile if you don't have a scanner.
Once you've done that, all you need is web space, and I can help you there. Send them to me as email attachments, and I'll post them to my site with a basic web page. You'll also want to send them to J.R. for the Gallery, for when he gets the chance to update it.

I second that. :)
I really don't know what I am doing with pictures. I took some today - they look pretty good. I e-mailed them to Chris (cpmusic) and asked if he could do anything with them. I hope he can. Somehow, we will get pictures going. It really is a very fine guitar!

I got 'em, Mark, and I'll get them posted this evening. I'll drop you a note when it's done, and drop a link here on the forum.
Folks, wait 'til you see it -- it's another beauty! Mark, is that headstock overlay something special? It kinda looks like ziricote.
I agree Chris. The headstock does look different. I didn't ask for anything special.
Thanks so much for helping me out. The forum is really a great place.

Very sweet Mark...
Can you describe the tones? I'm not familiar with Satinwood.
I don't do too well with describing tone, but I will try. It is bright. I'm not sure whether it is as bright as maple, but I 'll find out soon when I get my 615. It fingerpicks very well, but I can also strum pretty hard and still get a great sound. It is definitely a much different sound than my 710 Braz. which also has an E top.
I am really pleased with how it came out. A unique guitar with a different sound.
Thanks sooooooo much Chris for getting me set up with pictures. Thanks for setting up the description and the "thank yous"

My pleasure, Mark. As for the setup and "thanks" and all, they were already there, so it was a snap!
