Well, sort of ...

On tour, when walking into the 1980 building, a neck was getting fretted ... and I looked at it ... and said, "Oh, my gosh, THAT'S MINE!!!!" Of course, I was met with looks that said, "How could you know it's yours?" Even Jonathan looked like he wasn't sure I could be right ... but when I rattled off the specs, he did say that's not a common neck.

Then, in the section where they have the black light, I spotted some ziricote TaylorStock guitars (Diane, Joe, and one other person I've forgotten ... who else has a ziricote?) while we were leaving ... I asked Jonathan if I could lag behind to take pictures of the guitars. While I was taking pictures, I was informed that I could see my guitar. I said, "Are you serious?" And there it was, back, top, and sides getting glued together with 19 minutes remaining.

So ... now I'm jazzed. And yes, I've already printed out pictures of my guitar parts to add to the ones I took on Wednesday. I'll post my Factory pictures later tonight or tomorrow morning (if I fall asleep while working on them again). Oh, and who has a gorgeous cocobolo/redwood with koa binding? I forgot the size ... probably a GA.

Mary,

I am glad you got to see your guitar! I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you taking the time to go over to Taylor and share these photos with us.

You had a blurry picture of one of my labels. Can you tell on the original if it was the 914-c or the 810-ltd? Any chance you can read the completion date? I am in St. Augustine (not at home) and cannot make any of this out on my laptop. Any info would be helpful. I am getting soooo........ ANXIOUS........

I took another valium. I will be OK for now...

Thanks again for all your help!!!

Best Regards,
Doug L. :)

Sorry guys ... that should be cocobolo guitars ... not ziricote guitars ... I just looked at my pics and it's obviously cocobolo ... I guess I got used to saying ziricote ... and the third cocobolo I got is not a GA, it's a dreadnought.

And the cocobolo/redwood is also a dreadnought with a cutaway.

Do these sound familiar to someone?

I'm going back to processing photos ... be back later.

Doug, I think it says 914-ce ... can't read the date ... but it might be 10-06, 10-08, or 10-09.

Hi Mary,

Just checked your glimpses site and caught today's update! Thanks! Pretty exciting stuff!!

I'm looking at the coco dread that you said is mine and for the life of me I can't quite match up the grain patterns with the picture of my raw wood. Looks like a very similar set, but put together in a different manner somehow. ANyway it is pretty and if it isn't mine it gives me a great idea of how it will look!

I AM SOOOO PSYCHED!!:)

Well, I guess I don't have to say that it's up :) ... I fell asleep a few hours ago while I was checking the links ... I always check my links before posting a new page ... anyway, enjoy ... :)

Oh, and Joe, I'm pretty sure he said that one was yours ... he took out the custom sheet papers and read off the names ... I just forgot the name he read for the one next to yours.

I just checked my picture of yours ... put the outside edge on the inside ... it's obviously yours ... looks better that way anyway ... the way you have it in the pic makes a strange middle with a funky diamond-like thingy with eyes and it would have alot of that strange v-like stuff on the upper bout ... besides, I'm pretty sure that mark BT made in the inside right means the outside of the guitar.

Mary, I was holding the back "wrong" per se.

The way it is shown on the body is the "right" way me and Bob decided on. :)

Do you mean the chalk mark across the center? I thought that indicated where the pieces are meant to join up. The "S" in the circle means "Standard" cocobolo and the "11" is set number 11.

Still

On the picture my husband took, there was only chalk showing on one of the sides ... so I thought it might mean the outside ... but on your pics, it does seem to mean the middle ... but Joe, I really do think it's your set ... and that the pieces were reversed ... unless there's another Joe that ordered the same thing with similar wood ... because the factory worker did read the names off the sheets inside those three guitars.
