This weekend, August 4 and 5, the Pacific Islanders' Cultural Association will host their annual free San Francisco Aloha Festival. Here's a link:

There's be plenty of food and crafts. The main stage will feature local halau (dance and culture schools), music of all kinds from `ukulele ensembles to choral groups to contemporary Pacific Island sounds.
I'll be presenting a beginner's slack key workshop both days at noon, and at 1 PM both days local `ukulele virtuoso Hiram Bell will hold a workshop.
If you're interested in things Polynesian and live near the SF Bay Area, please come on down.
