This weekend, August 4 and 5, the Pacific Islanders' Cultural Association will host their annual free San Francisco Aloha Festival. Here's a link:

http://www.pica-org.org/AlohaFest/

There's be plenty of food and crafts. The main stage will feature local halau (dance and culture schools), music of all kinds from `ukulele ensembles to choral groups to contemporary Pacific Island sounds.

I'll be presenting a beginner's slack key workshop both days at noon, and at 1 PM both days local `ukulele virtuoso Hiram Bell will hold a workshop.

If you're interested in things Polynesian and live near the SF Bay Area, please come on down.

Thanks, guys. It's always a lot of fun, especially with a performer's parking permit <grin>.

Fran
Thanks for the great workshop.
The duet with Hiram was great.
I wish I brought a tape recorder with me
so that I could record the exercises and play along
I look forward to seeing you at Mission Coffee in Santa Clara
Thanks,
Les

Les, hopefully by now you have the tabledit files and have downloaded the player. You'll be able to hear the tab played on your computer, and adjust the tempo.
