And why would I ever feel so excited about those? But I am ...

Now, everyone say it together ... "It's because you're a nut."

Thanks guys.

....Were you back there again today?....

Maybe it's because you're a nut.

I am glad for you that you got to see a little hint of yours, considering how much time you've spent giving eyes to the rest of us. Congrats!!!

Rick ... there is something for you too ... I'll try to get the pics up later tonight ... sorry, but I've been spending time fiddling with high res pics to print them out ... now I know even you guys think I'm nuts ... I now have pics of my peghead veneer and label and am looking at them longingly ...

A-Ha!
So now you truly have a better idea of what we're going through and how much we appreciate your photographic efforts.
Thanks a bunch!

C'mon, Mary! Don't let me down! Tell me you saw a 814c ltd. with a 3-piece back and sapwood running down the seams of the back! A Torch inlay on the headstock of a V-neck would be the giveaway that it's mine!

C'mon Mary!!! Don't fail me now!!!

Have I told you lately that I love you? (I feel a song coming on...)

Heck, Trombone ... I've already done this before ... nothing new for me (just new for you guys) ... did it first with the K-14 ... then with the three PS-15s ... man, with the PS-15, I had all the pictures with me for months ... took them to work with me and added to them when I got new pics. Oh, and actually before all that, I did the same thing with the Gray Whale, though I didn't wait for that one for long ... just a long week before it got shipped ... but I recited that serial number the whole time ... at least now I have a serial number to recite ... makes me feel like I'm really waiting now ... I love all this. :)

I've forgotten ... Gutch, what's your name again?

I haven't seen your guitar ... the cocobolos just started coming out about a week ago, so there's still time ...

Oh, don't play coy with me! How can you forget the time we were in Barcelona, strolling down the Champs D'Ellyses, admiring the Brandenburg Gates with Big Ben in the background? It was stunning, as were you, all radiant with the moonlight reflecting off the Nile...

How quickly they forget!

Sorry guys ... I fell asleep while working on the pics ... they'll be up tomorrow afternoon. But Rick, you have a very nice label. :)

Gutch ... sorry ... I don't think I have any pictures of yours. Meridian, I think I might have a really blurry picture of your label from last Friday ... unless there's another Joe ... but I can't make out out the last name.

No more Celtic inlays ...

Actually Jeffrey, it doesn't surprise me at all ... if that was your fretboard, I'd think that by now it's on a neck and shaped ... which means it spends most of the rest of it's time upside down on a cart until it gets put on it's guitar in final assembly ... I don't think the guys at the factory would appreciate me turning over every neck to look for Celtic inlays ...

Oh that's ok. :)

I'm just being excited and impatient like everyone else. ;)

Well not as bad as Joe, but still excited and impatient. :ha:

OK, I guess I'm being too vocal about my impatience! In fairness though, I kinda enjoy all this anticiaption (perverse, eh!).

Mary, yes, I think there is another Joe, but who cares! Blurry is good! EVERYTHING is good!:)

There may very well be another Joe, but you knew I was talking about you! :) Hehhe.

Yes, I did. Jeffrey do you have the August 2002 C&D with the 350Z on the cover? I have a copy if you want it.

Mary....

.....thank you, thank you, thank you.....

Yes....I know....it's *only* a label. But it's the first physical proof I've seen yet on mine.

Looks like a starting date of October 3 and a finish date of October 16.

October 16 is a Wednesday..... so .... hypothesizing that it's complete then, goes through inspection and is shipped by, say, even as late as the 24th....it can *still* feasibly arrive in time for an unveiling at our November 2 event. Alright!!

If I knew when it was slated to ship, I'd authorize my dealer to have it shipped faster than ground....it'd be worth the extra $ to me.

Thanks again Mary. Now, go back each day and watch for mine, OK? :)

Hey! It just occured to me!

Being dated October 16, it only missed my daughter's birthday of October 18 by *two* days.

What a treat that would have been, as anal as some of us are about correlating dates.

Rats!

Well, Rick ... I'm in the same boat as you ... been looking for a sign of mine for weeks though I had a feeling it wouldn't start until this month anyway since the wood wasn't ready to use ... can't blame me for hoping. :)

Anyway, you know I'll be going back ... I've been going since September 9 even though I knew mine would be in the last half for sure ... so, why wouldn't I be going now that mine's slated to begin. :)

Now, this is the really fun part of waiting. :)

I'm pretty sure that is my label under Joe's. Thanks again Mary for everything you have done!

Thanks for the thought though, Joe. :)

Hi Mary, That peghead veneer looks like ebony with maple binding and no HS inlay. That's a combo I ordered for my 810-LTD. Did you also order that combo?

buddiesorg
10-04-2002, 01:10 PM
Actually it's koa ... and it will have the current 900 inlay

Have you seen my 812 all imbuia yet ? It says complete date today on my label.

Sorry Cisco ... though I heard from a Taylor employee that he had seen an imbuia today ... but I missed it.
