Let's see....according to the original schedule, the 300s and 400s were supposed to be started first, but a 900 is delivered first? No fair! :)
Seriously, congratulations Tvkruzan! And post some pictures!
I'll be driving down to my dealer just as soon as I get the word.

Well, I started that rumor... and my information was likely faulty, or something changed mid-stream. You're right. As soon as I opened my big mouth and set everyone's expectations, I get pictures of 500's and 900's being built, and cocobolo guitars (which I thought were last), the very next week. Sorry about that. I don't mean to spread misinformation (except about tbondo and meridian's guitars. hehe!)
However, I do know where my 514C is. Back in the finishing department. It was ready to ship, and our good friend uncle Ed was looking the guitar over and noticed the satin ebony headstock overlay. The fine folks building these guitars are following the instructions precisely. Since the 514 comes with a satin headstock and polished wasn't specifically stated on the order, they built it with a satin ebony headstock adorned with the torch inlay.... admittedly, I'm curious as to how that looked. :) Fortunately, this was caught before it left the factory, so they could refinish the headstock.
But Ed said my flamed mahogany/redwood 514C is simply AWESOME!!!! can't wait to see it! Shouldn't be much longer now, and from the looks of the 854CE, it should be heading out the door soon, too. !!!!! My custom flame-suit guitar should begin production soon.

Is that the one with the flaming nipples??
hey, don't blame me! That's Steve314's line!!
Well, as soon as I started to really think about it (on the way to the dentist, a time when many sad thoughts come to mind) I realized that Terry's gonna beat me to it. His is being shipped fast and mine isn't.
No problem tho', spoke to my dealer and I'm expecting mine on Monday or Tuesday next week. I'll live.
Am I excited? Heck yes! (Another word other that "heck" comes to mind but I'm working on self-control. :ha:

I don't think it was a rumor, J.R. When I was at Taylor the week of Labor Day, I ran into Jonathan in the lobby and he more or less confirmed the order. However, that could have been simply the "start order," which doesn't guarantee when anything will be finished.
As you say, everything is open to change. I just spoke with my dealer (sounds like a drug thing :) ) and he said that they're not coming in in any particular order. Needless to say, mine isn't there yet.
Anyway, I was just venting a little steam. :)

I havent seen or heard anything from mine since the very first set of pictures Jonathan had for us...hope it didnt get hidden in the corner of the factory somewhere!
My dealer said he usually gets an invoice for a guitar a day or two before it arrives, so ill at least have that much notice on it, but no word from him yet so I guess the wait continues with no end in sight... :)

....Sure, J.R. ....Sure......
Don't you recall that large spray can of Krylon acrylic on Ed's desk? It's just for special occasions like this. He was done with that gloss coat in minutes.....I'd be it's on the way to you as it dries.

Terry,
You lucky devil you! You get your guitar Friday while I will be crying in my beer still waiting on mine Friday night. Life ain't fair!!! Just kidding, of course...
Now your know this early arrival comes with certain responsibilities:
1) We want detailed information on how she plays.
2) We want to see many wonderful pictures.
3) We want to see them no later than sunset Saturday.
Enjoy... I am not doing so well playing the waiting game. Ahhhh.....
Best regards,
Doug L. :)

Hey Doug, you're right! All those lucky early TS guitar receivers are gonna have to spend all their time telling US about em! HA!:ha:

Hey Doug...
Initial pictures will definitely be up as soon as I can pry my fingers off the guitar for a few minutes. Playing sound and comparisons will take a little (lot) longer :)
I was hoping that both you and Tom Bond would be getting yours about the same time so we could compare. I thought I had been extremely patient, being out of town on trips for so many weeks helped. I didn't even call Steve once to check on it. Now the final 24 hours will be the killer.
Thanks for all the kind words everyone, now lets pace the floors!

Terry, it's stunning! That is some of the nicest EI rosewood I've ever seen, and the redwood top finishes it off beautifully. Have fun!

Are you well enough to run down and pick yours up today, or are you going to have to wait until tomorrow?

Terry, I'm afraid it'll have to be Saturday. I got very little sleep last night, and I think cracked a rib from coughing this morning on top of that, so I'm not up to the drive today. Besides, I'm not comfortable making what will surely be a pleasure drive when I've called in sick. So, I keep telling myself that tomorrow will be soon enough, and maybe I'll actually convince myself of that before I leave! :) Luckily, Steve will be in the store tomorrow so I can thank him again in person and get some pictures.
