I'm sorry to have to do this, but I must cancel the July 6th Cape Cod get together. Family crisis has dictated this necessary. If things improve, I'm considering re-scheduling in August.

Thank you both. Things are very difficult right now. My husband is filing for divorce but more importantly, bringing the children into it in ways I wish he wouldn't. In addition, the patriarch of our family had a major heart attack this past weekend at his God-daughter's wedding. He will be ok (thank GOD we were 10 minutes away from U-Conn hospital) but the whole experience has been emotionally jarring. I need to make myself available to family during the July 4th weekend since Michael will be coming up with all of us.

My God!

I'm praying for ya girl.

PM me if you need someone to talk to.

Thank you. This has been one heck of a year and a half! My mother was permanently disabled by a drunk driver, my father had an emergency quadruple bypass, I went under the knife for possible ovarian cancer (B9!!) and now these two things! Whew! But under God's good graces, all have survived!

Hopefully my husband will calm down and realize that the past is the past and the future holds promise. We've been in the house together too much and have had to deal with a child's chronic asthma for years (which thank God is now well-managed) as an added stresser. Next fall we have all three kids in school and we can begin to get back some quality time together. I'm hoping he gives this more time. If he insists on divorce, I can't stop him but it's not really the best thing for the children. We both still do love each other so that's something.
